HR+ HER2- Breast Cancer Has More HOPE of Survival and Living a Full LIfe Today

Facing HR+ HER2- Breast Cancer with Hope: My Fight with Fulvestrant, Kisqali, and a Healthy Rebellion

Imagine a world where a beautiful rose on your chest withers and crumbles. That's the unsettling image HR+ HER2- breast cancer with a fungating tumor presented to me. But here's the thing about roses: even the most damaged ones can hold the promise of a new bloom.

My diagnosis felt like a punch to the gut, but it also ignited a fire within. I wouldn't let cancer steal my future. My weapons? Fulvestrant injections and 600 mg of Kisqali, two powerful tools on the medical front. But the battle wouldn't be won solely in sterile environments. I craved a holistic approach, a way to nourish the healthy cells in my body, the very foundation of my fight.

Enter the delicious rebellion – a complete overhaul of my diet. Gone were the processed villains, replaced by a vibrant army of colorful fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. This wasn't just about deprivation, it was a celebration of life-giving ingredients. Every bite became a conscious act of strengthening the good guys within me.

**Here's the beautiful truth – this fight isn't about shrinking from the challenge. It's about rising to it. Fulvestrant and Kisqali are my trusted allies, but the real power lies in the unwavering support of my body. By fueling it with the right resources, I'm creating an environment where healthy cells can thrive and push back against the darkness.

**This journey isn't without its challenges.** Fatigue can be a shadow, and some days, the thought of a healthy meal feels overwhelming. But here's what keeps me going: the incredible support system around me, the unwavering belief in science and medicine, and the fierce determination to see another sunrise.

**My story isn't meant to be a singular path.** It's a beacon of hope, a testament to the power of a multi-pronged attack. If you're facing a similar battle, remember this: knowledge is empowering. Research treatment options, explore the wonders of a healthy diet, and don't be afraid to ask questions. You are the warrior in this fight, and your body is your greatest ally.

**Together, let's rewrite the narrative of cancer. Let's turn fear into fierce determination, and transform diagnoses into opportunities for a healthier, more vibrant life.

**I am postmenopausal, age 63, still have all of my female anatomy inside, and do not have any side-effects from the Kisqali or Fulvestrant treatments. The cancer began in 2022 where it had previously spread to some lymphnodes and I did have A/C Taxol chemotherapy treatments in 2023 but did not yet have the surgery. The chemotherapy eliminated the cancer in the lymphnodes. I was placed on an Aromatase inhibitor but the cancer mutated and turned into a fungating state. My experience is only related to my own personal DNA and treatment plan from my oncologist who is not the same one I had for my chemotherapy treatments. There are people who have completely different experiences than mine which is why everyone must work with their oncologist and cancer treatment team. Please report any and all side-effects no matter how small you think they are to your cancer treatment team.

**In the comments below, share your experiences and words of encouragement. Let's build a community of warriors, one where hope blooms brighter than any challenge.**
